What to expect when you come to worship...
When you arrive you enter the church through the red doors, in the courtyard.
You will likely be greeted by church members at the door. Volunteers (marked by pink "nametags" that say "Volunteer") can help you find restrooms, the nursery, and our children's ministry room - or answer other questions.
You will receive a handout with the scripture readings for the day, and in the pews you will find an "Order of Holy Eucharist", which will have all of the responses said by the congregation. (Large print bulletins are available upon request.)
When the service begins, you will hear a bell sounded three times - this calls our attention to the present moment and to God.
During the service:
When we sing, you are invited to sing! And when there are spoken responses, you are invited to say those as well.
Each Sunday we receive Holy Communion - the Body and Blood of Christ in bread and wine. Gluten free bread is available. Any and all who are baptized are welcome to receive Communion, and those who are not baptized can come forward for a blessing.
There is no dress-code, and everyone is welcome.
After service there is a time when those present can share coffee/tea mindfully together and enjoy conversation. You are welcome to join that as well!
If you have any questions, please talk with one of our Volunteers or Ministers before you leave - they'd love to talk with you!
Before you leave, find the table in the foyer with the blanket over it; that is our information table. It has parish news, resources for your daily prayer life, and a visitor card to fill out so we can stay in touch with you.
We are glad you are considering joining us. You are already in our prayers.
