Worship tips for individuals & families: Spend this day in restful contemplation. It was the Jewish Sabbath (day of rest), and Jesus's friends spent the day resting, even as they mourned. Look forward with hope to resurrection. You might hang up white "Christmas" lights, or get out a special candle, and light them at the Easter Vigil, or after it has grown dark. Continue to light candles during the Easter season remembering Resurrection. "The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it." (John 1:5)
