First time here? Read on

We're having big fun!

We love our time together as a church family. When you arrive you will be greeted by our greeters (we are very creative with titles), you can enjoy a beverage and talk with others in the foyer, and then come into the sanctuary when it is time for worship.

Our worship involves sitting, standing, crossing ourselves, and bowing; it is ancient and very beautiful. Feel free to participate as much as you want. Don't worry about catching on to everything right away; feel free to just take it all in.

Come on in and try it out. You will have a lot of fun as you get to know our God and our community.

What to expect, how to prepare, and more

When is worship, and what time should I arrive?
We have 2 worship services each Sunday at 8:00am & 10:30am. Arriving 5-10 minutes ahead is plenty of time to get oriented and ready to worship. If you feel comfortable, please say hi to our clergy when you arrive; they love to greet those who are new.

*Nursery care is provided during our 10:30am service, but NOT during our 8:00am service. That said, we always welcome all babies, toddlers, and kiddos who want to stay with their parents and join us for worship.
How will I know what to say?
In each of the seats is an Order of Holy Eucharist and a hymnal, so that you are able to follow along.
What do I wear?
Clothes! Just kidding...but no, really do wear clothes. We don't require any special dress; in fact we are pretty informal. But do ask that you dress modestly.
Do I have to give money?
No.
Every Sunday we collect money for the ministry of the church and non-perishable food for our local food pantry. But what and when you give is entirely up to you.
I'm LGBTQ+, am I welcome?
You are welcome, and we are thrilled that you would come to worship. God loves all of his children, and wants you to be a part of his family. So, come! Just as you are. God's arms are open wide.
What if I say or do the wrong thing?
Don't worry. We know our service has lots of motions and movements. We don't expect you to get it all on the first time, second time, or even the third time. The most important thing is just to bring your whole heart to God each time you come. You'll catch on to all the rest.
Can I receive Holy Communion?
Holy Communion is a wonderful and beautiful thing, going back to the time of Jesus's first followers. If you are baptized you are welcome to receive Holy Communion. If you are not baptized, we'd love to talk with you about that! Until then you may receive a special blessing, but not Holy Communion.
Do you have children's programs?
Yes, we have programs for all ages, including nursery age and elementary age kids. Teens too! We love our children and encourage them to participate in worship and volunteering as much as they are able. During service, nursery care is provided for our littlest members.
What do you call your ministers?
We call them priests, and ours are Father Alex and Mother Regina.
Why do you use weird words like "Eucharist"?
Great question! Many of the words we use have rich meanings and a history behind them. You'll catch on to the lingo pretty quickly. :)
Eucharist is a word that means "Thanksgiving", because the main part of the service is a prayer of thanksgiving over the bread and wine, thanking God for our creation and salvation.
Worship times are 8:00am & 10:30am every Sunday*
